Hi all, piking from the bank at Wroxham today, opposite the entrance to bridge broad when twice in the space of ten minutes I had a brazen otter pick up my smelt. The second time hooking it in the face. Luckily the hook straightened after 20 seconds.
This still didn't deter it from swimming within 10m of me so moved 200 yds further up with no more encounters thankfully. So just a post to say it is probably better off for people to get the rods out of the water if they see it. God knows what would have happened if the hook had held.
