Pond 4 Match Lake

Pond 4 is the Clubs bespoke Match Lake situated at Melton Ponds where the Club holds several matches, the Lake is rectangler with a island along the middle and has 21 swims and is mainly stocked with Carp. 

As well as club Matches it is also available to other Angling Clubs to book, please use the Email link below to contact us for available match dates, price for matches is £7 per peg.

Pond 4 Match General Rules

The Roadside gate must be closed after all anglers have arrived and Pond 4 gate must be kept shut whilst fishing.

Both gates must be locked with the code scrambled after the end of the Match. 

Maximum match length 5 hours.

No slapping, over-shotted rigs or floating pole.

Barbless hooks only, maximum size 10.

No fixed leads, ledger rigs must be carp safe. 

Minimum of 12 inches of line between the pole and the float.

Net Rules

Maximum of 40lb per keepnet.

Fish may be alternated between nets after 3 nets have been used.

All Fish must be placed from landing net to keep net.

Bait Rules

No floating baits.

No boilies, nuts beans or particles except hemp.

Ground bait limit 1kg, or for use in feeders or cupping in, no balling in.

Meat, maximum of 2 standard tins per angler ( luncheon / cat / dog meat ).

No trout pellets.

Please ensure no litter is left.

The Club reserves the right to amend any of the rules at no notice and a level of common sense and best practice is assumed. There are no exceptions, all rules are designed with the welfare of the fish and the water quality in mind. Any angler found breaking these rules may be asked to leave the fishery and the associated Club my lose their booking.

Please obey the rules and remind others to do the same. Your assistance and understanding is much appreciated.
